In August, ULSO will embark on its first ever tour outside of Europe, to Hong Kong. We have secured internationally renowned performers Nicola Benedetti and Leonard Elschenbroich as our featured soloists, with two concerts booked at Shatin Town Hall and the Hong Kong City Hall.

This was made possible through an invitation from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) to collaborate with them as part of their student cultural outreach programme. HKUST's partnership with ULSO aims to exhibit the wide range of talent present amongst the university students in London, as well as demonstrate to the Hong Kong public the benefits and varied possibilities of higher education.

Proceeds from the concerts will be donated to the HKUST Cultural Development Fund, which aims to promote cross-cultural student relations and provide resources and funding for HKUST students to be able to experience international exchange programmes.

With the opportunity not only to represent some of the UK's foremost universities but also to enhance the international renown of the orchestra, this is a truly exciting time for ULSO.
